Internship Opportunities in Southeast Asia 


ISM SEA currently offers a wide variety of internship opportunities in six Southeast Asian countries: Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, and Thailand.



  • Imagine Thailand (PAOC), Bangkok/Mae Sot/Takua Pa - teaching English, administration, community oriented, opportunities to work with any age group based on location (Hosts: Zach Wylie + team)

  • NightLight, Bangkok- Ministry to sexually exploited women, jewellery business, outreach centre, coffee shop, administration (Hosts: Annie Dieselberg + team)

  • Place of Grace, Bangkok- slum ministry to children and youth (Hosts: John and Gillian Robinson)

  • Samaritan Creations, Bangkok- ministry to sexually exploited women, teaching ESL, evangelism, children's and youth ministry, administrative, cafe (Hosts: Michael and Kay Killar)

  • Nikki's Place - Agape Home (PAOC), Chiang Mai- Children’s Home for children with HIV/AIDS providing support and care to children and Thai nannies (3 month commitment required - 6 months preferred). Must be 20 years old (Hosts: Roy and Avis Rideout)

  • Dton Naam, Bangkok- Ministry to gender confused men, barista, coffee shop, teaching english, outreach (Host: Celeste McGee)



  • Church of the Living God (PAOC), Chennai- Church, children, youth, and slum ministry, after school program (Hosts: Christo and Sarah Emmanuel) 



  • ​Global Cafe (PAOC)Phnom Penh- campus ministry to Cambodian University students; work with kids and families through the ChildCare Plus Program (Hosts: Ian and Tiffany Rowley)



  • ​Noah’s Ark (PAOC), Banaue- Children’s home for malnourished, abandoned, educational disadvantaged and special needs children (Host: Linda Veldhuizen and Lisa Habisreutinger)



  • Imagine Myanmar (PAOC), Yangon- Business as mission, bakery, administrative (NOTE: 90 DAY MAXIMUM) (Host: Cavell Dove)



  • LaoVida, Champasaak - Teaching English, mountain outreach trips (seasonal), Pre-evangelistic social clubs, youth meetings, teaching cooking, training staff in a cafe setting, teaching first aid. (Host: Andrew and Karen Stephens)


  • If you are looking to fill an internship credit with a College or University OR have a previous relationship with an organisation in Southeast Asia other than those listed above, and would like to serve there after your training, please list it on your application and we will consider it as one of your options.

Once you have filled out the Global Volunteer Inquiry form under 'Apply' on the header above, we will send you a link to our ISM SEA online application. There you will have the opportunity to choose your place of internship from 10+ available ministries.
